Teams gather information and scientific evidence to design a device that will help move endangered animals from one protected area to another.
Objectives:
- Read informational text and identify the main idea and supporting details.
- Explain how evidence supports the main idea.
- Use age-appropriate research to support and justify design decisions.
- Present summarized design using researched evidence to support design decisions.

This resource was initially developed to prepare students for the 2017 Tech Challenge. Each year The Tech Challenge invites teams of students in Grades 4-12 to use the engineering design process to solve a real-world problem.
